Who We Are
Professional Barbers
At The Studio MGS we strive to provide great service, with a southern H-Town energy vibe. Our barbers make sure to take their time, but not waste your time, as we know that these days people are constantly on the move. We maintain great relationships with our guests and we will definitely make sure to leave you looking great and feeling even better.
We do welcome Walk-ins but our loyal guests do make appointments and we love to take care of them. To guarantee a seat at a certain time feel free to make an appointment with one of our barbers.
Meet the man behind The Studio MGS vision, Hugo’s story is written with hard work, dedication, and a passion to succeed. His journey to opening his own barbershop started as a kid.
Over 25 years ago as a kid, Hugo refused to cut his hair for almost a year. Fortunately, his sister had enough and gifted Hugo a set of clippers for his birthday. Hugo never looked back. In almost no time, it was clear that Hugo had some serious talent and the clippers just felt natural in his hand.
Hugo started cutting family and friends, and as time passed the compliments came in. His desire to be the best just kept growing. Next thing he knew, Hugo was cutting hair for his entire apartment complex. After saving for a few years he decided to take the leap and open a Barbershop.
Over the years Hugo has embraced the role of mentor and enjoys giving his knowledge to his barbers to help them succeed. To date he has mentored and trained 9 barbers that are all successful at their current locations. When Hugo is not at the barbershop, you can typically find him spending time with his wonderful family.
Hugo also has a passion for learning and can often be seen with his head buried in a book. While he spends plenty of time researching current hair styles, trends, and techniques, he also enjoys reading and learning.
